Apartment Chalet Whymper, Les Houches, Chamonix, Mont Blanc Apartment Chalet Whymper is situated in the traditional Savoyarde Village of Les Houches, entrance to the Chamonix Valley at the foot of Mont Blanc and home to the Kandahar World Cup downhill race. It's a one-hour drive from Geneva Airport (all of it motorway) and Chamonix town is just 6km away.
The apartment is virtually ski in ski out with the Bellevue Cable Car and Chair Lift Coupe de Monde just 150 metres away together with the Ski Bus stop giving access to the vast number of other ski areas in the Chamonix Valley. Fully equipped and furnished to a high standard with high definition TV showing BBC and ITV satellite channels (freeview). Within 150 metres there are three good restaurants, three bars (two also serve food), a good selection of shops including a fromagerie, a boulangerie, a newsagent and Le Refuge de Payot (selling regional food, wine plus complete meals). In this same area there are ski/ snowboard and bike hire shops plus the offices of the ski school.
